Diana Ross - I saw Diana Ross for the first time in person at the Stop and Shop in Greenwich Connecticut. It was a summer day around 1993. She was food shopping, as she lived in Greenwich at that time. I noticed her immediately. However, without her make up and nails done she really did not look like an entertainer! I was with my wife at the time and she also noticed her kind of plain appearance, but it was definitely Diana. We actually got in line behind her and our food orders kind of got mixed up and we purchased by mistake her smoked salmon! I asked her how Michael (Jackson) was, as he was still popular at that time, and she answered ,"He's fine." The next day I called a local radio station,and told the story,and they actually put me on the air to recount it again! I embelished a little to say we would trade the salmon for a glossy photo, but never got a response. We have seen Diana Ross on another occasion in Greenwich, also food shopping (even celebs gotta eat). I am always starstruck but somehow I can talk to them or ask for a signature. I find it amusing, hope you do too!
